ABS company of Danieli Italy will put into production wire rod mill in September
Accciariebertoli safau (ABS), a subsidiary of Danieli group in Italy, plans to put into operation a 450000 T / a wire rod mill production line in September, which is located in Pozzuolo del Friuli plant near Udine.
The new production line uses industry 4.0 advanced logic design. The products include 15-60mm high quality steel wire rod. After the completion of the project, the ABS capacity will reach nearly 2 million tons / year.
The civil works of the project have been started in December 2019, and the total cost of the project is about 190-200 million euros.
ABS is equipped with an electric arc furnace smelting workshop with a capacity of 900000t / A, two long mills (with a capacity of 250000t / a) and a wire rod mill with a capacity of 1000000t / A.
